After I completed the Galileo Travel School I obtained a travel agent position with an agency in Colorado. It is a very fast paced travel agency specializing in travel for Production companies and Entertainment groups. When I completed the course, I was somewhat unsure of how helpful it would be to me. When I interviewed with the agency, the owner was very impressed with my choice to do the Galileo Travel course. It gave me the foot in the door that I needed to get a job as a Travel Agent. Since I have been actually working, I have found everything I learned to be very helpful. The agency uses the Sabre system instead of the Apollo system, but I have found them to be very similar. There is a lot to learn, but the terminology and the travel concepts I learned in the Galileo Travel course have put me that much further along in the process of learning the travel business. Dee Ann
Ordering an on line travel agent program off the Internet was literally a leap of faith. It was a large sum of money for an unknown product. Some programs seemed to be a real scam, not offering a lot of education and just wanting to sell a product. I love to travel, I am a registered nurse. I felt Galileo offered a real education. I was still nervous until my books arrived. Once they were here after reviewing them I was very pleased. I knew I was going to actually learn about the travel industry. I hope to someday work part time for an agency. People at work have come to me to discuss travel for a long time because I am so enthusiastic about all their travels as well as sharing my own. I enjoy studying and doing the workbook. The web sites are very educational as well. I do miss being with other students who share travel interests. I hope to be able to sell travel packages someday, especially cruises and Hawaii trips. Thank you Daija for always responding so quickly when I email you. Connie
I am blessed with my schedule that I have time to complete this course although I wish I was farther along than I am. The flexibility is wonderful and the program is really user friendly and easy to understand. It is amazing how many resources there are on the internet and how easy it is to find things you would never know to be there. Even though I personally enjoy the classroom setting The Travel Institute's text book and workbook are seamless companions. I have learned a lot about what I already though I knew. Kyle
I have to say that I enjoy your online program which is easy to follow, user friendly, and provides lots of information. The web activities are interesting and fun to do. The textbook informs me what I want to learn and know about the industry. Moreover, thank you for your patient and replying my emails and questions in a timely fashion.
